Ben Maney and Countless Sheep

It's a really great feeling to have an album pop up in the mail that is unique and sincere enough on first listen that it warrants more and more spins. I got Ben Maney and Countless Sheep's album, Drinking the World from a Glass, the other day complete with the most endearing of handwritten notes – the kind of note that makes it evident the man loves his music and craft and will do anything he can to share it.

Interview w/ Holy Ghost Tent Revival

Holy Ghost Tent Revival brought their brand of energetic, heartfelt, quirky Americana to Erie last week for an amazing show. Black Cab Sessions – Jamie Lidell

 

How does one man get to be so damn cool? This video proves that Jamie Lidell is a god amongst men and is so tangibly passionate about his craft. It comes to us from the Black Cab Sessions, which features artists doing one take in the back of a cab. Pretty sweet concept that really cuts to the chase about what's so endearing and great about music. They've nabbed a ton of great artists so check it out. In this one, Jamie uses a trick he utilizes live where he beatboxes and then loops the effects while he sings his blue-eyed soul over top. So fresh and so clean.
