Today brings a new feature on Those Who Dig called The Blogger Lowdown where we ask the good people who run some of our favorite, essential blogs to give some insight on themselves and their sites. There are some great resources for discovering all kinds of music on the interwebs and our hope is to introduce you to a few of these outlets and the people behind them. Dr. David Smooke and the League of the Unsound Sound make their concert debut this Thursday October 21st at 8:00 pm in Mercyhurst's Walker Recital Hall in Erie PA.

It is a FREE concert of experimental music performed by musicians of the highest calibre. This exploratory, original, radical, innovative, and unorthodox concert is a must see and will not be soon forgotten.

I saw this new video from UK folkster Benjamin Francis Leftwich over at Slowcoustic today and I had to share. It's a pretty touching song with hints of Elliott Smith and Nick Drake and vocals that float on thin air. Leftwich will be releasing a new EP, A Million Miles Out, Oct 24th on iTunes (although it's possibly only in the UK).

I've always liked bands that don't use the "psychedelic" label as an excuse to make loosely constructed waves of sound or to jam into oblivion. UK's The Bees may have a sound rooted in the 60's, but their songs are touching and creative. Their new album, Every Step's a Yes drops tomorrow.
