Team Dig had a very awesome weekend. Kyle and I went down to Baltimore to check out the Home Brew Hullabaloo thrown by Dave. It was a rousing success. We had a lot of fun in Charm City the rest of the weekend, too. The slight downside was that there was no time for a Weekly Roundup yesterday, so here's a quick one for y'all now.
Last month on January 18th, we put on our second Those Who Dig showcase. It was at Union Hall and featured three Brooklyn bands we dig: Los Encantados, Chase King, and The Soft Collapse. It was awesome. Check out our recap, complete with photos.

You may have noticed a relative lack of posts on my part over the past month or so. I finally have replaced my computer and am ready to get back to sharing great music. I want to start off with some cool videos I've seen from Brooklyn acts.

It's been a little while since the last Weekly Roundup due to computer issues, but we are back this week with some great songs and videos for you all to enjoy, so dig in.
The Great American Novel has released a new song "This Song Will Make You Love Me" and it's awesome.
Community Center is a Baltimore based indie rock band of eclectic composition. This six piece band boasts a cast of multi-instrumentalists who don't shy from tag team vocal work and sound as if they are making music for the simply pleasure of it. Their newest EP is self-titled was released on January 20th of this year. Most notably, Community Center has been seen around town performing at the EMP Collective, the Wind Up Space, and the Baltimore Theater Collective. Friend of the Dig and all-around great rock band Palomino needs your help to make their debut album. They just started an indiegogo campaign and I encourage to check out the details of this worthy artistic endeavor.
Those Who Dig & the EMP Collective are teaming up to present a party of epic proportions. The Home Brew Hullabaloo is a home brew competition and concert featuring the music of Norm Sherman, Inca, and the Chris Pumphrey Sextet. There will also be performances from the good folks at Sticky Buns Burlesque including Paco Fish, Shortstaxx, and Ruby Rockafella.
Any and all local home brewers are encouraged to bring their work to share. Please RSVP for space by emailing Dave@ThoseWhoDig.net. The Home Brew Hullabaloo is sponsored in part by the Maryland Homebrew Store and Nepenthe Homebrew Store so the evening's winners will be receiving a gift certificate to the stores. Additionally, pizza will be provided by Homeslyce in Baltimore who has also graciously co-sponsered the event to help feed you hungry beer drinkers.
The party is happening at the EMP space on 307 West Baltimore St Baltimore MD 21201 at 8:00 pm. Suggested donations for the party are $10 and the event is most definitely 21 and older. All attendees are also the judges for the home brew competition so don't forget to practice your beer tasting between now and then.
