Daft Punk – Around The World

Because of my two days worth of hangover and contraction of Lazy Ass Sunday disease, I'm keeping it short and sweet today. I was drawing a blank on inspiration until Jenna rubbed it in my face for the 37th time that she was at the Phoenix/Daft Punk spectacular, and a light bulb came on. This is a hybrid post that combines a Music Video Throwback and a personal induction into The Shrine of Dig. Daft Punk's "Around The World" video (directed by Michel Gondry) is by far my favorite music video of all time, and incidentally the best song ever to throw on a bar's jukebox. It's so simple and quirky, and the song kicks fucking ass. I first saw this when I bought the Gondry/Cunningham/Jonze DVD box set and have probably watched it, I don't know, a billion times since. Check it and discover what's happening inside every colored disco ball you've ever seen.

What do you guys think? What's your favorite video ever? I'll collect any comments and post later as a "Reader's Shrine" article.
