What Did I Miss? or Overlooked and Avoided in 2010 : J Roddy Walston & The Business

I didn't exactly "overlook" or "avoid" J. Roddy Walston & The Business this year. I'd heard tracks here and there and was well aware of their existence, but didn't pick up their debut self-titled album until a few weeks back. It's an explosion of energy and catchy as all hell.

J. Roddy Walston & The Business is everything I loved about music in 2010. It's full of passion and energy. The kinetics bursting out of each song would throw the wig off ol' Leibniz's head. And of course, it's danceable and excellent to drink to. The Baltimore-based band is a force to be reckoned with.

There's a chance a couple of your humble Digsters will be ringing in the New Year with the boys of JRW & The Biz. If you're in Baltimore, come join us!
