THE TOWN PANTS
I've seen these guys live three times now, and my ass has been thoroughly kicked three times now. I am not generally a fan of celtic rock. Believe me. I hate all the frat guys around New England who listen to the Dropkick Murphys. I guess I can deal with the Pogues on occasion.
The Town Pants are from Vancouver and they love to drink. And dance. And I love both of those things as well. If you like rowdy good times and dancing so much you sweat out the whisky you've been drinking, check them out. Plus, they sing about sailing a lot.
"Galway Girl" is a Steve Earle tune and this is a great cover. The video was shot at one of Those Who Digs favorite bars in Baltimore, Mick O' Sheas. Dig it.
