Here are a bunch of shows in NYC to check out this week, live music fans.
Tonight, Mary Alouette plays a show for the release of her new EP Lark. It's at Cameo Gallery, it starts at 8:00, it costs $8, and also includes Empty Chairs and Pink Drink. Check out single "Angel."
On Wednesday, you can see two different shows in bowling alleys in Williamsburg. Grand Resort plays the Gutter – with Dalton and White Bike – and Miko & the Musket plays Brooklyn Bowl – 8:00 show, $8 tickets, with Deb Oh & the Cavaliers, Alpenglow, and DJ Pumpkin Patch. Both groups have EPs coming soon. Grand Resort's is due next week. Miko and the Musket will release one in September. Here's a new track from it called "On Your Mark." Also, Grand Resort plays Sunday at South Street Seaport!
Thursday, Little Daylight takes the stage at Santos Party House. Their new EP is out 8/13. The show starts at 9:00. You can get tickets for $10 in advance or $15 day of the show. Also on the bill are Jakwob, Strange Talk, and ASTR. Have you seen the "Name in Lights" lyric video? Check it out below:
You have some good options for Friday night, too. If you missed his two recent shows, you still have another shot at seeing David Pollack when he plays the Tea Lounge at 9:00. The other show to check out is John Brodeur at Pete's Candy Store. That one starts at 8:00. I believe both are free, so that's cool. Here's another lyric video for John's "Daily Affirmation."
