Shows Songs and Videos

Got some info about a few shows to check out, as well as a new song from a friend of the Dig that we think you'll enjoy.

Tonight, our buddy Chase King and his excellent live band will play at Glasslands. Also on the bill are The Elwins, The Ugly Club, and Four Visions. Details and tickets for this $10 show that begins at 8:30 here. It'll be a good time.

Saturday at Cameo Gallery, I'm going to check out the electronic-tinged indie band We Are The Wildnerness. They play with Cult Exciter and Pink Drink. It's $8 and starts at 8:00. Details and tickets here. The music is moody and detailed and mixes an atmospheric element with a pop sensibility. Their album Descending from Paramount came out recently and they'll be playing a lot from it I'm sure, including tracks like "Worlds Burn Bright," and "Just For Now," which has a cool, video game-themed video you can watch below.

Our friends in Grand Resort have just released a new single – it got posted to Soundcloud yesterday – and it's awesome. The name is "Endless," and it's our first taste of the forthcoming Memory Loss EP. The sound of Andres and his bandmates has always been steeped in a vintage 80s jangle and 90s shoegaze sheen, but they always manage to both honor their influences and transcend them. Can't wait to hear more! And definitely check them out live, there are plenty of opportunities over the next few months. That includes shows this weekend on Friday and Saturday, upcoming dates at Glasslands, Cameo, and the Gutter, plus a Thursday residency at Piano's in August. And still there are more.
