Quite the double bill this evening at Mercury Lounge: Miracles of Modern Science and Conveyor. This early show is a great way to kick off your weekend. It begins at 7:30, costs $10, and is 21+. Get your tickets here.
Miracles of Modern Science are all string instruments, but no guitars. We've dug several of their songs on TWD in the past, including "Eating Me Alive," a cover of "Pumped Up Kicks," "Luminol," and even a rendition of "O Holy Night" for Christmas. Their album Dog Year is available now and though I haven't yet seen them, I feel confident that they will be very exciting live. If that's not enough, the other act on the bill, Conveyor, is not exactly a lightweight, either. They've been releasing a string of great music in a variety of forms (digital, vinyl, even cassette) and it's personally a little embarrassing a band this good hasn't yet appeared on TWD, but expect that to change in the future.
Have a listen to some music, consider purchasing it, and hopefully we'll see you at the show tonight!
