If you like good music, beer, and want a chance to meet some of the Dig authors, you should come to the Crooked I tomorrow night to see Matty B and the Dirty Pickles.
Those Who Dig hasn't been quite as involved in the local Erie music scene as we'd like to be, but tomorrow night gives us a chance to change that. One of our favorite local bands, Matty B and the Dirty Pickles, will be playing the Crooked I tomorrow Friday, March 4, 2011. The show starts at 10:00PM and also includes the Whiskey Daredevils. For those who haven't seen or heard Matty B and the Dirty Pickles, they play an exciting and energetic fusion of rockabilly, punk, and straight up rock and roll. Some might call it retro but I think their chops prove timeless is the better description. And they're pretty damn stylish too.
And as an added bonus, for the local readers that come to this show, Kyle and I will be there and we'd love to meet you and buy you a drink. We thought it would be nice to try engage with our readers and contribute to the local music community in our own modest way. Think of it like a real-life Holler Back.
