Left Boy – Wonderful Song
I hate Christmas music. Like really really hate Christmas music. Well, except for that Ella Fitzgerald album. I can, however, get on board with Left Boy sampling Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime" and rapping about chicks and drugs over it. See, I'm festive!
Left Boy is Austrian rapper and producer Ferdinand Sarnitz who just took up residence in the Big Apple. He's got a catchy-ass, sample-based, sing/rapping style that hooked me right away. Left Boy dropped a short mixtape on December 17th that's available for free download on his website. It's definitely worth picking up. I might advise against adding it to the family Christmas tree decorating mixtape though.
