Left Boy clearly knows the way to my heart. He was already fast becoming one of my favorite new MC/producers, and then he sent me "NIGHT". Dude samples Buena Vista Social Club. Swag!

Left Boy (Ferdinand Sarnitz) became known to me when he dropped The Second Coming mixtape that included a bitchin' track sampling McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime". I've listened to that mixtape over and over and it never fails to entertain and impress.

I'm a sucker for a good sample anyways, but Sarnitz is really adept at not only picking great samples but reworking them into beats full of feeling and catchiness. He's also ballsy with his choices. A crappy Paul McCartney Christmas song? Mariah Carey? BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB?? The kid has talent and energy and when his full-length drops, I predict big things. You heard it here first.
