Broken Bells – Windows

The boys of Broken Bells, who were behind my favorite album of last year, have announced a new EP is on the way. Meyrin Fields will feature four new tracks (including "Meyrin Fields"). This is pretty damn good news since Mercer and Danger Mouse have been pretty lackadaisical committing to any future collaboration.

"Windows" was released yesterday as the first single from the forthcoming EP. It's a very 80's sounding, proggy jam with some great multi-tracked vocal harmonies from Mercer. The whole song feels like it was recorded underwater and is being played back on a cassette tape through a boombox. In other words, I dig.
