Lubec – Nothing is Enough! EP

Lubec is a band from Richmond, Virginia. Their brand new EP Nothing is Enough! is an exciting debut, though perhaps indeed not enough for those who dig catchy pop melodies mixed with loud fuzzy rock.

Episodes in Virtuosity: Kronos Quartet

John Adams's work, John's Book of Alleged Dances for string quartet has been on my mind for about a month now and it's time I share of few of them.

The pieces are performed by the always electrifying Kronos Quartet and I've never wanted to boogie down harder to classical strings than I do when I listen to these performances.

Today's Episodes in Virtuosity gets funky with a selection from John Adams's Book of Alleged Dances.

We Say Go featuring Debbie Molko

I mentioned I haven't posted much on hip hop, thought at least I listen to it with some regularity. Electro dance music is admittedly not part of my regular listening tendencies, but this track "Somebody" from the Brazilian duo We Say Go with vocalist Debbie Molko simply cannot be denied. Get ready to kick your Wednesday into another gear!

E-Dubble – Grown For A Minute

I haven't written much (read: anything) about hip-hop music I like for Those Who Dig, but today that is going to change. I recently heard some excellent tracks by E-Dubble, an MC and Producer out of Baltimore (aka 1/3 of TWD's home base) and just had to share his latest release with you all.

The Dismemberment Plan – Emergency & I

With the vinyl reissue of Emergency & I by the Dismemberment Plan being released tomorrow, it is the perfect time to induct this incredible album into the Shrine of Dig. This is a wholly original, inventive, and amazing album both musically and lyrically. It has meant so much to me and I believe everyone should hear it. Especially anyone in their mid twenties who has ever wondered "What am I doing with my life?"
